Alisha Armstrong

Alisha began taking dance classes at the age of 2.  Throughout her early dance career, she spent time dancing, acting, and singing in a variety of performances.  She has received her varied instruction from Joyce Goldring, Casa Mañana, Richland Ballet, Stars Theater Company, Pat Riddle School of Dance, Tarrant County College, and graduated from Texas Woman’s University in the Spring of 2009, earning her Dance Studies degree.

Her professional career includes performing during Dallas Diesel football games with Events in Motion, a dancer for Freelance Hip Hop Company, and multiple performances at TWU.

Alisha’s proudest achievement is her children’s dance studio, MMP School of Dance, located in Aubrey, TX.  She is the sole owner and director of the studio. She teaches ballet, tap, modern, and jazz to students of all ages.  Working as a store manager for Dallas Dancewear for five years gave Alisha the knowledge and experience needed to make her studio successful.

Holly Arnold is currently dancing her 5th season with Phase 2 Dance Ensemble. Graduating with her Associates in Fine Arts, she continues to work towards her Bachelors of Science in Child Development with a focus in Occupational Therapy.  Holly has danced several semesters at Tarrant County College in the TCC-NW Dance Company where she earned her Dance Specialization in 2008 and danced 2 years in the touring company where her work was featured by the Mosaic Dance Project in 2009. While dancing at Tarrant County College with instructors Lacreacia Inez Sanders, Amy Sleigh, and Linda Quinn; Holly has also taken classes at Texas A&M University where she studied modern dance with several guest artists, including Melissa Autry, Lisa Nicks, and was inspired by teachers Carisa Armstrong, and Molly Snell-Witt. Holly has also taken master classes at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City with artist Frank Hatchett and the NYC Rockettes.   Holly loves spending every moment with her daughter, Chloe, and hopes to inspire her and other children through Art, Music, and Dance.

Marita Gardner

Marita began dancing shortly after she began walking. It wasn’t until she turned 5 that her mother finally decided to enroll her into a formal dance school. She studied at the Wood Studio of Dance for over 20 years. During her time there, she had the opportunity of student teaching and gained the knowledge of running a private studio. In addition to this, she was able to choreograph many solo pieces for others as well as herself.  In high school, she was a member of the Nolan Dance Company and the Nolan Dance Team for 2 years. With this, she performed with many outside venues and participated in various competitions.

Today with this knowledge, she has helped many others with choreography for audition and competition pieces. She has traveled to New York and San Diego, participating in Professional workshops and Master classes. With study under Master Teachers, such as Peff Modelski, Kathryn Sullivan, and Margo Sappington, and the experience of learning alongside professionals, she was able to broaden her range of creativity and develop further with her technique.

She also holds a Texas Real Estate License and has over 10 years of experience of working in the professional world. Now as a wife and mother of 2, she only strives for more knowledge to become better as a person, a dancer, and a teacher. At present, she is currently working on her AA Degree with her Dance Certification at TCC.
